Of the dozens of CBD product categories, the FDA seems to have the most issues with CBD edibles. Considering the FDA is concerned with the quality of the US food supply, it’s no surprise this organization is most concerned with using CBD as a food additive. Technically, other CBD products like oils and tinctures fall in the “nutritional supplement” category, which isn’t the FDA’s primary concern. However, it’s not just human-approved CBD edibles that have the FDA worried. According to recent letters sent to various hemp businesses, the FDA wants to put a halt to feeding farm animals CBD-enriched foods. Not only is the FDA afraid of how hemp will affect animals, it suggests “CBD feed” could affect many grocery items.FDA Sounds The Warning Alarms On “Hemp CBD Feed”Early this May, the FDA sent letters to four CBD-related businesses in the USA. Q: Regarding the recent comment from a reader about artificial intelligence in traffic lights improving commutes and reduce wait times, I am in the habit of stopping at red lights and if there is no reason for the light to be red (no traffic in any direction, or all cross traffic has already gone through the intersection and is happily speeding away), I proceed through the red light. I don’t see the point of waiting. If there is any traffic or the threat of traffic, or if smart lights are installed (the signal switches quickly), then I wait.Is it really illegal to do this? I seem to recall that after stopping if there is no traffic, you were allowed to proceed through a red light.James H., San JoseA: It is illegal to drive through a red light. It is legal to turn right after stopping at a red light, unless there is a sign there that says a right turn after red is not allowed at that intersection.Q: I suspect the reason nobody obeys the no right turn on red sign at Mathilda is becaus...Breed announces intersection changes to 4th and King streets

(BCN) -- Following a collision last week that resulted in the death of a 4-year-old girl, San Francisco Mayor London Breed is recommending pedestrian safety improvements to that intersection, her office said Monday. On Tuesday at 4th and King streets, a man was pushing his daughter in a stroller near Oracle Park when both were struck by a woman in her car. They were transferred to the hospital, where the father faced life-threatening injuries and the little girl died. In response, Breed announced she has directed the San Francisco Metropolitan Transportation Agency to make a plan for improvements to that intersection and others deemed dangerous by the city, including updated crosswalks for pedestrians, removing visual obstructions near intersections and turns, longer timers to cross the street and features that would slow down cars turning on intersections.
