The coffins were later taken for burial in a cemetery in the nearby village of Blida.Israeli troops and militants from Lebanon’s Hezbollah group and their allies have been clashing for a month along the border following the start of the Israel-Hamas war. WASHINGTON (AP) — Taxpayers will be able to submit all sorts of tax documents and other communications to the IRS digitally months earlier than originally planned under a new timetable for paperless taxpayer communications announced Tuesday by Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.“The impact will be significant and far-reaching,” Yellen says in a speech prepared for delivery at IRS headquarters in Washington, “and we’ll speed up processing times for the system as a whole.”The IRS has endured decades of underfunding and been overloaded with paper documents that prevented the agency from processing tax forms at a faster pace. Yellen’s speech is intended to signal that the infusion of cash for the IRS over 10 years included in the Democrats’ Inflation Reduction Act is working. “Taxpayers will save time and effort,” she says, as people can begin submitting their documents now, instead of waiting until the originally planned time frame of early next year. The IRS plan f...UAlbany women's basketball slides past Merrimack in opener

“Book learning” can benefit your game quite often. “Textbook” play problems appear in real life.In the Senior Swiss Teams at the Summer NABC, Richard Oshlag played at four hearts. His first two bids showed some type of strong hand. North’s two spades asked for clarification; South’s 2NT indicated a huge hand, balanced. When North transferred to hearts next, South jumped to game.West led a trump, and Oshlag looked for a way to avoid four losers. He won the first trick in dummy and led a spade: deuce, king, ace. West led a second trump, and declarer won, discarded a diamond from dummy on the queen of spades and ruffed his last spade in dummy.LOW CLUBOshlag next led the ace and jack of diamonds. East won and led a low club, but Oshlag put in his seven. West won with the ten but had to return a club from his king or concede a ruff-sluff. Making four. If declarer attacks the clubs without setting up the end play, he loses two clubs and goes down.Oshlag’s team didn’t gain on the deal.
