FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) — Patrick Mahomes feels “perfectly fine” after an illness and said on Friday he’s ready to move on from last week’s subpar performance when the Chiefs face the Miami Dolphins. The Kansas City quarterback had flu-like symptoms before losing a fumble and throwing two interceptions in a 24-9 loss to the Denver Broncos.“I’m feeling perfectly fine,” Mahomes said Friday at a news conference after the defending Super Bowl champions landed in Frankfurt and held a practice. “It was kind of just that night and a little bit that next day. I kind of got back pretty quickly.”Mahomes also sustained a cut on his left hand. NORMAN, Okla. But Oklahoma State (6-2, 4-1, No. 22 CFP) has been competitive enough for stretches in the past 50 years for some to call it a rivalry.Former Oklahoma coach Barry Switzer said Mike Gundy’s current run of success as Oklahoma State’s coach has helped make the series better the past two decades. But though Gundy has a 162-77 overall record, he is 3-15 against Oklahoma.“The problem he’s always got is Oklahoma,” Switzer said. “You know, Oklahoma’s is Oklahoma, and good players want to come here because more good things have happened here than there have in Stillwater. TEL AVIV, Israel (AP) — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday pushed back against growing U.S. pressure for a “humanitarian pause” in the nearly month-old war to protect civilians and allow more aid into Gaza, insisting there would be no temporary cease-fire until the roughly 240 hostages held by Hamas are released.U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken made his third trip to Israel since the war began, reiterating American support for Israel’s campaign to crush Hamas after its brutal Oct. 7 attack in southern Israel. He also echoed President Joe Biden’s calls for a brief halt in the fighting to address a worsening humanitarian crisis.Alarm has grown over spiraling Palestinian deaths and deepening misery for civilians from weeks of Israeli bombardment and a widening ground assault that risks even greater casualties. Overwhelmed hospitals say they are nearing collapse, with medicine and fuel running low under the Israeli siege. The trial against the two other officers resulted in a split verdict last month with one convicted of homicide and one acquitted. Officer Nathan Woodyard takes the stand during trial in Elijah McClain’s death Woodyard was the first officer to confront McClain as the massage therapist walked home from a convenience store in the Denver suburb of Aurora. A 17-year-old 911 caller had reported McClain — who was listening to music, wearing a mask and dancing as he walked — as suspicious.Prosecutors say Woodyard grabbed M...Latest news
